Dealing with blame

For 7 years, every week Guruji (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) used to send out a page of Knowledge to be read out and discussed at the satsangs happening all over the world. He used to call it the Knowledge fax … This was before email became popular enough for everyone to use :)

Every week we waited eagerly for what Guruji would say through these Knowledge Sheets, many times we would be with Him while He dictated them out and we compiled them. The atmosphere would always be full of wisdom coupled with big doses of mirth. And the Knowledge sheets themselves are always profound, sometimes quite funny…

Dinesh and i decided to do a commentary on them, reliving those precious moments spent with Guruji, reading them out for you and peppering them with stories and examples of how this Knowledge from Him has come alive for us in our lives.

Re reading them now, after so many years of Sadhana, Seva and Satsang has made us realise just how beautiful and precious these words from Him are … We are throughly enjoying ourselves making these videos, we know you will love watching them too.

Knowledge sheet no. 9

Nice. 🙂 I was just thinking this week “Aparigraha” is a difficult thing to implement instantaneously. Guruji talks about not taking anything from others including insults. I have observed I could drop them in days instead of weeks in few cases, but would love to do it the very minute the event or situation has happened. I guess the key is to drop it by accepting it. Just sharing my thoughts.

    Blame Vs Criticism
How to criticize without blaming when we are carried away by our emotions.. When we are high in anger the criticism will be transformed to blame and later we worry about it how to avoid this conflicts.. I suppress ma emotions so that i wont hurt others by blaming and convince myself not to hurt others by blaming they are ignorant time will change; is this something bad to me as Im not expressing myself or am not showing ma true self or emotional trauma Im undergoing??

  9. Vivek says:

how to deal wid repeated blaming….a blame tht ppl keep repeating again again at the same time….its very irritating to deal wid

How do we control negative thoughts? I am just not able to see whether or not I am happy or not ? How do we be happy at the place where we are? And why does wisdom and happiness become contradictory in life. I know that theoretically they are not but then how to experience that practically?

    • Bawa says:

you dont control negative thoughts or for that matter positive ones either … thoughts come and go
for your other questions, go and sit on a YES!+ course again and again … theory translates into practice by implementation

    JGD Bhaiya!

Right now i am in the last semester of my BCA program which will get finished very soon. i have got late in the studies for 4 years because of an accident that has happened with me in class 11th. i want to become a full time AOL teacher at the end of the day since i know that this is the real and only goal of my life to reach to the enlightenment but i want to pursue my MBA from IIMs. i want to become an example for others while motivating others at the intro talk sessions. My family wants that i should get in a job and continue with that since it will get me financially stablised. the financial situation of my family is not bad but they want it for me. i also have a fear that entering in the corporate world may not steal my sanity but still i want to study from a very gud institute since by doing so i shall be addind values to my life. i don’t know what to do. bhaiya please help me.
    Love u both.

    • Bawa says:

if you get into an IIM or XLRI type of institute, go ahead … if not get a job, get work exp for 2-3 years and then apply to these institutes

    Dear Bawa,

I was really upset and I visited your site thinking that I will getthe answer that I am looking. The answer was there on the very first page.

I tried this and felt so relaxed.

Tears roll down by my eyes in love for you and Guruji. Thanks for being there.
I dont know why I am crying right now.. whether its love for guruji and you or is it I am still feeling bad. I think both.

You are just like an angel holding our hands and helping us. Thanks for being there. 🙂

    Jai Guru Dev 🙂

    JgD Bawa,

I am doing a summer internship at Deloitte during my summer vacations after having given my first year university exams. The office is good, though the work they offer me is quite much not good, except fot he fact that I am learning to google up nicely and getting to meet other interns who are from MBA streams. I am doing Economics in college and am wondering that how to make best use of my internship experience. One is that along with the work they offer me, I can start up a project, like one of my seniors suggested that I should do industry analysis, but I am wary of two things: one being what industry should I choose, possible options are: telecom, financial sector and the other reason is that I want to cut short my training period from 2 months to a month and a half, and hence my effort will be to complete the project in that time, or as early as possible. But i discussed this industry report thing with an MBA over there and he said that the report which I prepare should be able to come to somebody’s use, but I am puzzled because my company does not really need any such report. And if I continue to just do the work the company allocates me, then my internship will not have much of CV value at the time of my placements. Can u help me on this matter? My thrust is how to make my internship useful plus a few tips onn how to meet and know more people over there?

    • Bawa says:

      1. Go talk to someone senior in deloitte and tell them about what you told me
      2. don’t try to hurry up your internship, take as long ias it takes to do an absolutely excellent report
