Bau, when I click a third-party link in the on ur blog (like the one u mentioned in this post) can you make the clicked link Open in a New Window, rather than loading in this window itself (which is pretty irritating coz bawandinesh.name goes away, and that new link starts to load).. πŸ™‚ (Also, can u make sure that this open in a new window thing happens only for 3rd party links, and not links belonging to bawandinesh.name? πŸ™‚ ) πŸ™‚

not related, but wanted to share this :p

In a small town in America, a person decided to open up his bar business, which was right opposite to a church. The church and its congregation started a campaign to block the bar from opening with petitions and prayed daily against his business.
Work progressed. However, when it was almost complete and was about to open a few days later, a strong lightning struck the bar and it was burnt to the ground.
The church folk were rather smug in their outlook after that, till the bar owner sued the church authorities for $ 2million on the grounds that the church through its congregation & prayers was ultimately responsible for the demise of his bar shop, either through direct or indirect actions or means.

In its reply to the court, the church denied all responsibility or any connection that their prayers were reasons to the bar shop’s demise. In support of their claim they referred to the Benson study at Harvard that inter-cessionary prayer had no impact !

As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork and at the hearing and commented:

“I don’t know how I am going to decide this case, but it appears from the paperwork, we have a bar owner who believes in the power of prayer and we have an entire church and it’s devotees that doesn’t.”

    JGD Bawa !
Bawa , I m wondering about one thing since I did AOL Course that we all were told to become veggie and leave alcohol (though I never touched alcohol and now I m a veggie since that day ). During my basic course we all were also told about an AOL devotee (dont wanna name him) who’s a Liquor barren and what all miracle (brain tumour)happened after he met Guruji. My question is why we are told about this person who’s business is to create nuisance in the society and why cant AOL do something since we all took that pledge to remove Alcohol and Tobacco from this country.
Looking forward to hear from you
    With love

AOL works with everyone who wants to work with us… Liquor barons, naxalites, terrorists …
And Guruji’s Grace is unconditional for anyone who cares to come and ask for it … God has given us free will … we can love and nurture each other or kill each other … the choice is always ours.
Art of Living is nudging many in the direction of peace and love … and away from those animalistic tendencies…

    Bau,

It’s great but your punctuation needs more work.
This is embarrassing coming from you, my AOL teacher.

    1) The above choices[Missing Comma] when exercised [DELETE made] by more and more people on the planet[Missing Comma] will ensure [Missing Comma] more than anything else, the arrest and reversal of the very severe threat of Global Warming.

    2) Ever seen a greenhouse? They are the sheds with roofs and sometimes..
You moved from singular in the first sentence to plural in the second sentence directly
The second sentence should be “it is a shed with..”

    3) The temperature of the Earth in the last 100 years has risen by 0.6 deg C and is steadily rising, and according to scientists [missing comma] will rise further by 1.1 deg C to 6.4 deg C this century

    4) I would love to add another cause there, [Comma should be Semi-colon] it’s the United States of America.

  23. Jaimin says:

Nations with economies dominated by oil are taking amazing initiatives in renewable energy production. Take this, for instance:

“Bahrain’s recently completed World Trade Center has two sail-shaped towers reaching 54 floors high. Three massive wind turbines hang from three short bridges that link the towers together at separate heights. The towers funnel the ocean winds into the turbines, generating enough electricity to satisfy roughly 10% of the structure’s energy needs.”
    Source: http://www.forbes.com/2008/04/28/energy-electricity-power-biz-energy-cx_wp_0428greenpower_slide_8.html?thisSpeed=30000

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, launched the world’s most ambitious sustainable-energy project to date–the Masdar Initiative. The $15 billion initiative includes a major investment fund and a science and engineering institute devoted to the study of clean energy and sustainable technologies.

The fact that these nations are taking so much interest in producing power through the alternate route shows that the world is waking up to the necessity.
